Now that we have formally announced 3Sharp TacTile, we want to give everyone a sneak peek at what is coming soon to our offering. Based on feedback we have received from customers on recent engagements, we will roll two features into the live tile framework for SharePoint.
Currently, for any of the tile types where documents or items are listed, the display is limited to a subset of items that will fit within the tile. Unless you click the title link for the tile, you will not see the full list of documents or items from the corresponding source library/list. In order to give users more visibility into library/list content directly from a tile, we will add an optional scrollbar:
The framework is fairly flexible in terms of using background images on tile pages and adjusting foreground/background colors. One additional request we have received is to have tiles include gradient capabilities, a nice UI feature that is commonly seen on Web sites and intranet portals. We are adding that as an optional setting for tiles, as seen in the following side-by-side example:
These features, bug fixes, and other enhancements are expected this spring. Keep an eye out for more updates on the 3Sharp blog site.
