InfoPath at Tech·Ed 2005 (Take 2)

I mentioned in a previous post that there will be three InfoPath-specific breakout sessions at Tech·Ed 2005 next month. I also indicated that I would provide an outline for my session, CLI335 InfoPath: Developing Forms Using Managed Code, which is scheduled for 9:00am-10:15am on Friday, June 10. So, to be true to my word, following are the agenda items for my session:

  • Getting Started
  • Event Handlers
  • Offline Submit
  • Save Extensibility
  • Word Document Creation

The session will begin with a brief introduction to the integration between Visual Studio .NET 2003 and InfoPath 2003 SP1. Then, using a status report example, I will demonstrate how event handlers can be used to enhance form functionality. Specifically, I will illustrate through demos how to implement an offline submit scenario, extend the save functionality to encrypt and decrypt form data, and generate a Word document. Once again, I am looking forward to meeting many of you at the conference.
