Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced, proficient, customer-facing Project Manager.  In addition to traditional project management responsibilities, this position will also manage the customer relationship and identify other potential revenue sources within that company.  Successful candidates will bring a strong customer focus, balanced with deep technical and analytical skills needed to deliver against aggressive objectives.

Key Deliverables

  • Manage the project team – staff and supervise 3Sharp teams and orchestrate the appropriate mix of resources to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Work directly with the customer, obtaining and refining requirements
  • Track financials and issues
  • Build relationships within customer organization, tactfully managing internal contacts and competing priorities
  • Understand customer business goals and leverage customer relationship to actively pursue and close sales opportunities for new projects within their organization; helping to price, sell, staff and drive these engagements to their successful and profitable completion

What You Should Bring to the Table

  • 4-7 years of project management of software development projects on 3 or more full life-cycle implementations
  • Minimum of 1.5 years leading projects using Agile methodologies
  • Deep experience with SDLC and software development process
  • Deep involvement with Quality Assurance
  • Strong grasp of project metrics and reporting (specifically, TFS)
  • Experience supporting sales teams with initial architectures, proposal creation, and customer engagement focused on closing sales opportunities
  • Superlative written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills (internal and external facing)
  • Deep customer-facing experience, including negotiation and relationship building
  • Proven ability to gain deep understanding of customer business goals and objectives
  • Proven ability to control scope, with experience in requirements-gathering and validation
  • Schedule creation, management and prioritization; able to handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent follow-through, commitment and accountability
  • Well-versed in gaining and retaining customer and peer influence, with true excellence in a consultative approach to work
  • Passionate and positive – about quality of deliverables, about customer relationships, about your team
